SAM & PIA

An intimate and informal wedding filled with love and laughter; Set overlooking the beautiful south western coastline, with a view to take your breath away. A lovely old Devon farmhouse that became the heart of these celebrations. Combining their heart felt ceremony- complete with personal vows and a friend to perform the service.

Family and friends united to celebrate this couple’s special day. A ceremony that took place amongst ancient old oak trees with hand crafted decorations that floated in the breeze, was followed by the dressing of trestle tables full of all kinds of locally sourced blooms… Bright orange and yellow with soft peaches, creams and purple with herbs and foliage that formed the receptions dinner table laid out overlooking the headland.  A rustic and beautifully composed dinner with an exquisite menu carefully planned by …. Followed with exquisite handmade wedding cakes made by the groom’s mother.

Pia had re worked a family heirloom in the shape of her mother’s wedding dress, an intricate lace hem and neckline, and a low yet sophisticated back, teamed with fabulous billowing silk sleeves it was the perfect choice to  encapsulate her carefree spirit, her head dress was something to behold with its blousy flowers and flowing tonal ribbons reminiscent of folk festivals from the past it complimented the hair gently falling around her face.

A magical festival blessed with good weather so that their guests could enjoy the same experience that they had envisioned all along.

,h1>With a love for music that shone through with their band and a special performance from the bride and groom with the help of a few friends they danced into the night, fairy lights and campfires filled the air with warmth reminding you to live in the moment and celebrate this beautiful journey with everyone in attendance.

I had the pleasure of working with this couple to create two special wedding bands that reflected their style… for Pia we started our journey one day after we met at my studio in Devon. Deciding to take a walk and talk about the design she realised that the wanted to integrate the natural pattern that surrounds her and her life living in Devon. Drawing inspiration from the farmlands harvests and wild local flowers we came up with a beautiful engraving on an incredibly fine 18ct gold wedding band.

For Sam who works within the design world he wanted his ring to have a slightly more modern, minimalist feel with a precise geometric pattern that ran around the outside of the Platinum wedding band.
